The Outlaw Origin Story
River City Outlaws was born in a garage in South Sacramento. But the foundation was laid in the upbringing of childhood memories from a small Central Valley dairy town—where watching Hee Haw with family, spinning Johnny Cash vinyl, and blasting cassette tapes of Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Jr., Charley Pride, and Emmylou Harris built a love for rebellion.
The rock and metal scene forged a stronghold too, adding fire to the sound that would become RCO. Later in life, cross-country trucking and late-night playlists of '90s country hits kept the wheels turning until River City Outlaws was ready to roar into reality.
This crew carved their sound in dive bars, bike nights, private events, and eventually larger clubs, fairs, and festivals. Every member brings a new chapter to the legend: Greg’s raw vocals cut through the noise, Andy and Robbie’s guitars duel like renegade spirits, Chris lays down basslines with outlaw swagger, and John drives it all with thunderous rhythm.
They don’t follow trends—they hijack them. Their shows are boot-stompin’ sermons, their tracks a mixtape of rebellion. From Elk Grove to the edge of the map, River City Outlaws are more than a band—they’re a movement wrapped in denim, distortion, and defiance.
